HMS Bounty Pen - $60

Own a piece of one of the most magnificent ships in history.
In 1789, the crew aboard a British Navy vessel mutinied while voyaging in the South Pacific.
It came down to choosing between paradise or servitude. In 1962, the famous MGM film, Mutiny
on the Bounty, starring Marlon Brando brought the mutiny, once again, to the world's stage.
The Bounty we know today was built to re-tell the story.
This is authentic wood from Bounty's restoration period of 2006 - 2007. The work
is being done by some of the finest shipbuilders available, at the Boothbay Harbor
Shipyard in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. This final phase is from the waterline up,
replacing the topsides of the ship, as well as changes to the interior.
The pen on the left is a Baron Style Rollerball Pen and has a Screw Cap top that
"Posts" (e.g. can be stored on the end opposite end of the body from the end where
the ball point is located [called the Nib end]) when writing with the pen. . It is
overall slightly larger and slightly heavier than the pen on the right - A Perfect
Fit Convertible Style Pen. The Baron's metal fitting are plated with bright copper.
The Roller Ball pen is sort of a cross between a ballpoint and a traditional old fashioned
ink pen. The ink is a real liquid and not thick and gummy like ballpoint ink - but the Nib
is a roller ball. This is why it uses a screw cap and a little rubber "o" ring on the nib
end. If the cap came off in a shirt pocket the ink will definitely wick out and stain the
shirt like the old fountain pens would.
The pen pictured on the Right is a Perfect Fit Convertible Style pen that comes with
a "twist" mechanism to expose and retract the Parker Style Ballpoint cartridge from the
Nib. Its cap need only be removed when the ballpoint cartridge needs to be replaced. All
of its metal parts are bright copper plated. The ballpoint cartridge can be replaced by a
Schmidt Pencil Mechanism thereby converting it to a pencil.
