Paid Deckhand
- You'll climb the mast and set the sails. From when the sun breaks the horizon and you feel the cool sea mist on your face to when the sun sets and you're standing on the yard arm gazing at the stars with no land in sight, you now have a feeling of what explorers 200 years ago felt as they set off on their voyages. You will eat, sleep and think like a sailor of old. All deckhands must be at least 18 and sign on for a six month tour. All deckhands are paid $50 a week. The era of tall ships is over but the chance to experience it isn't. Sailing as a crewmember is unlike anything you have, or ever will do.

How to Sign on as Crew
Crewing is simple, pick some dates that you would be interested in. Send a resume, cover letter and a recent photo and other relevant documents you wish to be considered. Positions are giving on a first come first serve basis. Upon acceptance you will be notified as to when and where to meet the ship. Upon arrival you will need to participate in a Coast Guard random drug program. Cost is about $45.
Remember: Tall Ship sailing is like camping out except we provide the tent and the food. You would want clothing for all kinds of weather and bring sleeping gear.
